GARAGE DOOR TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS:
If your garage door will not close or goes to close but stops and reverses.
- Check your photo eyes (located at the bottom of the door on both sides)
Make sure nothing is obstructing them. They are very sensitive. Dust, spider
webs even sunlight will obstruct them. If you do notice any of this on the
lenses, you must wipe clean.
- Make sure both indicator lights are lit up solid. If one is flickering or
not lit up, you will have to adjust them so that the indicator light is lit up
solid.
- If you’ve tried everything listed above and the door still will not close.

If you door does not open all the way.
- Pull release cord hanging from the operator rail. That will disconnect the
operator arm from the door so you’ll be able to open and close your door
manually. The traveler on the operator rail may be getting caught up on something.
- Call our office to set up service call.
If your remotes are not working.
- Change the battery
- If the remote still does not work, you might have to reprogram the remote.
Check your owners manual for instructions or you can call our office and we
can talk you through it. Please have the operator brand name available and
about how old it is.
- If that still does not work you may need to buy a new remote. We carry
Liftmaster, Stanley and multi code remotes. Please call our office for prices.
If your wall button and remotes are not working.
- If you have a Liftmaster operator, there is a button on it that says “Lock
” Make sure that button is not pushed in. If it is, press the button to
unlock.
- If you have a Genie operator, there is a button along the side or at the
top of the wall control, make sure that button is not pressed in. If it is,
press the button to unlock.
- Check for power.
- If that does not work, call our office to set up service.
